[From 7 to 10 p.m. Tuesday]

Fun interview tonight with New York City-based singer/songwriter Jodi Shaw (jodishaw.com), who will perform Saturday as part of the Songwriter Showcase at Cyber Cafe West in Binghamton. We played some songs from her new album, “In Waterland,” between our chit-chat segments:
“Swim”
“In Waterland”
“Jack & Jill”
“This Balloon/Ode to Zvezdochka”
“Hell’s Bells”
“To the Country (We Go)”

For the second part of the show, I looked back on my chat with late disco queen Donna Summer when she was here at Binghamton University in 2010. Tunes between the archived interview:
“On the Radio”
“She Works Hard for the Money”
“Bad Girls”
“Dim All The Lights”
“I Feel Love”
“This Time I Know It’s for Real”
“Hot Stuff”
“No More Tears”
“There Will Always Be a You”
“Last Dance”

Some new tracks:
“Burned” – Dropclutch
“Not Guilty” – Yes Sir Boss
“Mr. Universe” – James Maddock
“There and Back Again” – River City Extension

And finally, a tribute to the late Doc Watson:
“In the Jailhouse Now”
“I Am a Pilgrim”
“Sittin’ on Top of the World”
“Shady Grove”

Next week, Brian McKinley from Mick’s Tape Show will sit in for me, and he’ll preview summer concerts throughout the region. I’ll be back June 12 with an in-studio interview with Samite, a Ugandan-American musician from Ithaca.
